Special Quote to Remember

Just a couple of days ago, I received a letter from a really good friend of mine. He shared this quote with me along with some encouraging words after I shared with him some struggles I went through this past semester/year. We all go through hardships that can sometimes make us feel like we aren’t good enough or we will never find a way out of the situation. We are so wrong to think in such a way. Jesus promises in John 16:33, “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” This won’t be your first hardship and it definitely won’t be your last, but you have a Savior who keeps His promises and who overcame the greatest hardship this world could give. So you can and you will overcome whatever is bringing heaviness to your heart in this season. I believe that God is good. I believe that He has amazing plans for each and everyone of us. We should not let our struggles and our trials hinder us from fulfilling the plans and the desires God has for us. Instead of focusing on the anger, the frustration, the hurt, every emotion that you feel through this hardship... take the time and look at all that’s happened and remember where God was working. He is with us at all times and He is teaching us. You will overcome this hardship and you will be okay because you are special and you are His.
